3 Tips for Busy Mums to Maintain Active Living
Living a healthy lifestyle is NOT a luxury, it’s an absolute NECESSITY, especially if you’re a mama. It’s our responsibility as mothers to put our health and well-being first, both physical and mental, to be at the top of our game, because our children deserve to have a happy and energetic mum.

1. Start your day with a healthy breakfast
There is a reason why people say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Starting your day RIGHT is absolutely essential for your energy levels, mood and productivity. In order for you to function at your best capacity you have to fuel your body with healthy, nutritious and yummy food.
Take that extra time every morning to nourish your body and give yourself that GOOD QUALITY energy to kickstart your day and make it a productive one. Better yet, do it before your kids wake up and enjoy 30 minutes all to yourself. This practice will help you gather your thoughts, mentally prepare yourself for a productive day ahead while enjoying your favourite cup of coffee and poached eggs on an avocado toast.
2. Exercise Daily
Let go of excuses and do it! No matter how busy we get, each and every single one of us can find little pockets of opportunity to show up for our health and fitness. Go for a power walk, a swim, a bike ride, get that work out in at the gym or in the comfort of your own home - even 30 mins can make a huge difference in how you spend the rest of your day.
Exercising can be the best way to kickstart your day or unwind and destress at the end of it. It all comes down to your preference.
3. Make yourself a priority
In order to keep up with everything that’s going on in our life, motherhood, busy work schedule, house chores, we have to actively listen to our mind, body and soul.
Pay attention to what your needs are before everything else.
When we feel our best, both mentally and physically, that’s when our work is focused and inspired, our relationships are thriving and we can be the happiest and energetic mothers to our children as they deserve nothing less.
Don’t put your health and well-being a back burner, because the reality is you cannot pour from an empty cup. No matter how busy our life gets, we have to remain focused on our needs, so we can keep our cup full at all times.
There are so many positives when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. No matter how busy we are we can always make time for things that are truly important to us. It’s time for us to CHOOSE living a healthier and more active lifestyle and make our health and well-being a priority.
